About
Pierre Nehr

In September 1995 at the age of sixteen I began my apprenticeship with my brother Jean-Pascal  in Marseille where I stayed for five years.

I was awarded my bowmaking diploma in Mirecourt in 1998.

I opened my own workshop in Paris in 2002, to devote myself to the manufacture of bows of my own design and restoration of old bows for luthier as well as dealers and international collectors.

All my bows are entirely handmade. My work in influenced by the great French masters of the 19th century to which I bring my personal touch.

My bows are played all over the world by orchestral musicians, chamber musicians, concertmasters, soloist and are highly prized by collectors.
